of Port Angeles
The Port of Port Angeles is the first inbound anchorage on the Strait of Juan de Fuca - offering opportunities for private businesses on specialized properties developed in conjunction with the airports, marinas, and transportation and shipping operations.
Land: Industrial and Commercial Properties
The Port of Port Angeles owns and manages a number of prime commercial and industrial properties for the benefit of the citizens of Clallam County.
- In 2003, the Port sold industrial and commercial land for the first time in its history. In a strategic move the Port secured an agreement with Westport Yachts, the largest production luxury yachts built in the world today. The company now produces its premiere product in Port Angeles.
- 113-acre industrial park strategically located next to William R. Fairchild International Airport. The park facilities provide space for both manufacturing and plush offices, tailored to the elite CEO who can taxi his corporate jet off the runway and into his own private hanger.
Air
The Port's 797-acre William R. Fairchild International Airport, and the adjacent industrial park, is only 35 minutes by commuter flight to Boeing Field.
When necessary, Fairchild's runway can handle aircraft as large as a Boeing 737. Currently, Kenmore Air flies seven daily round trip flights in and out of Fairchild between Port Angeles and Seattle's Boeing Field. In addition, Rite Bros. Aviation serves the area with charter flights.
Fairchild also caters to private aircraft and charters, with a number of hangars and tie downs. William R. Fairchild is located at Latitude 48º 07' 14” N by Longitude 123º 29' 55” W Altitude 288 feet above MSL.
- Boeing Field is one of the busiest primary non-hub airports in the nation.
- Boeing Field is also home to the Boeing Company's 737 aircraft flight-test program.
